lazy Sunday

April 27th, 2008 at 11:10 am . Posted in random things .

I’m considering this to be a successful weekend so far.

Friday I went to a family party for the family I work for. Met a super amazing celebrityish person, which I will elaborate on another day.

Saturday I ate far too much food, walked it off around Wicker Park. Found people who work at Akira to be quite annoying. Still felt full hours later. Spent the night in and trying to catch up on my reader.

Today, I am finishing up Bright Lights, Big Ass. I’m not loving it as much as Bitter is the New Black, which I devoured in one sitting, but it’s alright. I bought a gigantic bag of m&m’s. Cuddled my pupperoo. I will be making some pasta later. ANTM marathons have been on all weekend. I have at least 2 movies to watch with boyfriend later.

How’s has your weekend been so far?

My weekend has been GREAT! Thanks for asking.

Yesterday, we went out to the in-laws. They live outside of town in the county, sort of. The dogs LOVE going out there so they can run around to their little hearts content. They have a great covered deck in the back with a pond and shady peach trees. It’s great, and very relaxing. OH, and we got to see baby birds leave their birdhouse for the first time.

Today is a lazy, lazy day. It’s rainy out, very cloudy, so it seems like early morning even though its noon. The dogs are sleepy from yesterday and I’m still in my PJ’s.

All in all, a very good weekend.

    Sounds so nice and relaxing!
Mines been similar- lazed around on Friday, catching up on What Not To Wear, and then saw the new Harold and Kumar movie last night, followed by a luau party with my best friends. Today I’ll be doing pretty much the same thing as you- relaxing, grabbin some movies, and unfortunately, probably some homework.
Are the Jan Lancaster books worth it? I haven’t read any yet but I’ve been hearing people talk about ‘em.

I love the Jen Lancaster books. I’m sure you know about the next one coming out May 6, I can’t wait to see if that on is as good as the first. My weekend has been busy working, but I have Monday and Tuesday off so it’s worth it!

Pretty tame weekend, but that’s how I like it. I enjoyed some mini cheeseburgers and beer, and I’m about to bake up some tasty cupcakes.

How can you just say “I met a celebrityish person” and not go into detail?? Haha, we want to know!

Glad your weekend has been good! Mine’s been pretty relaxing!

I’ve watched way too much Top Model this weekend. My husband laments, “why is this always on? Is there a special network that only airs this??”

Cycle 3 is one of my faves though – so I’m glad to have caught this one.

Yay for having a successful weekend! I’d love to have some time to just sit down and read — I might ask for some book advice.

Mine has been busy but good. And I am currently procrastinating. And that is always good! (:

I wanted to love the second book but I just didn’t. Truth be told though- I had a hard time with the first one, but I do think it’s better than the second by far. As for blogger authors, I’m really looking forward to the new Stephaine Klein book coming out !!

I must read Bitter is the New Black. It’s a memoir, no? I adore memoirs. Read The Glass Castle, immediately.

    Yes, that’s an order!

Your weekend sounds lovely! How were the movies with the b/f? I actually got the tv in between hockey games (woohoo!) and enjoyed the sunshine by reading in a lounge chair outside. Why is it cold again?!

Yayyy for lazy Sundays! OK and I went to the Akira in Watertower for the first time 2 weeks ago and thought they were so nice! Must be a WP thing? Hmmm…

And hooray for M&Ms, and meeting celebs all in one weekend.

I had a semi-lazy Sunday in which I slept until 2:30 in the afternoon (after going to sleep at 4 a.m.) and then running 2 miles to LP to retrieve my car, which had a parking ticket on it for not having an overnight pass, when in fact, I did. In the window. Underneath where the stupid meter cop placed my ticket.

    But I’m not bitter, lol.

    See, I made it!!!

I am going to have to buy Bright Lights, Big Ass just to have it in my collection. I’m not sure if it will be as interesting to me as Bitter was, but I will read it nonetheless!!

I’m thinking of driving to Atlanta to meet her at her book signing!
